Big O Ranch was established in 2020 but has been in the Kirton Family for many decades. David and Kara Ormston took over running Kara's family farm to chase their dream of leading a more self-sufficient life through growing their own food in a more natural way than is common in modern agriculture. It began with a garden, then laying chickens, then meat chickens and then " I wonder what large ranches do with bottle calves" And one week later, The Ormston's delved into raising cattle.
As if all this plus two full time jobs wasn't enough, the Ormston's added soap making to the list of Homestead activities. Kara, the soap maker at Big O finds it important to make soaps with ingredients people can easily identify from reading the label. She thinks ther is no reason to bathe the body in chemicals when a beautiful and luxurious bar of Big O Soap is within arm's reach!
